Blood Tests

Clinics run every day with our Healthcare Assistants. We make sure patients who have to fast overnight for their blood tests are seen early!

Appointments can be made online or by calling 01483 273951 option 1.

If you have been asked to have a blood test by a Consultant for a hospital or outpatient appointment, please book to have this done at Cranleigh Village Hospital. You can book online at  

Ear Syringing (currently suspended due to COVID)

We have ear syringing appointments available, however these are limited in order to ensure we are able to provide other essential services. Family Planning

For contraceptive advice, depo injections, implant and coil fitting. Dr Christie and her team provide the coil-fitting and implant service.

If you are interested in having one, please make a telephone appointment to discuss it with one of them first and they will then arrange a suitable time for the fitting if it is appropriate for you.

If you are due a contraceptive pill review, please submit an eConsult here. You may need to attend for a blood pressure reading, or you can use our blood pressure monitors in Reception.

Leg Ulcer and Wound Clinics

Wound Clinics are run by our highly skilled Practice Nurses on a Tuesday and Friday morning. Please call 01483 273951 option 1 to book. 

District nurses attend our housebound patients and all others come to the practice nurses at the surgery. Please call 0300 3034739 to speak with the District Nursing Team.

Our Practice Nurses also undertake post-operative suture and clip removals for patients who are up and about. If you are housebound, please contact the district nurses who will be able to visit you at home.

Minor Surgery

Several of the GPs offer minor surgery and joint injection procedures. If you need a minor surgery procedure and it is appropriate to be done in Primary Care, we will arrange it for you in-house if at all possible.

Please submit an eConsult which will be reviewed by a clinician, who will then make an internal referral if appropriate. Please note there may be a waiting list for these clinics.

Mother and Baby

When your baby is around 7 weeks, please book a telephone consultation with your usual GP to review. They will then arrange your baby's 8 week immunisations. They will pop into the immunisation appointment to complete a physical check on your baby.

The health visitors run a drop-in clinic for advice and help with your baby. This includes weighing your baby and 2 year checks. For availability please call the health visitors directly on 01883 340922

The Midwives at Royal Surrey offer total care for pregnancy, birth and the post-natal period. There is now a maternity hub at Cranleigh Village Hospital. Visit for more information.

Sexual Health

Visit Sexual Health for information about local sexual health clinics. Self-testing kits are available for both males and females aged under 25. The confidential result will be sent to you at home. More details can be found at

Talking Therapies

You can self-refer for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), workshops/courses (e.g. managing emotions, worries, depression), group therapy, guided self help material, individual therapy, book recommendations and employment advice through partner agencies.

Childhood immunisations, routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available by appointment with our practice nurses.

Flu clinics will be starting later this month (September).

We will be inviting patients according to need and eligibility so please do not phone to book unless you have had an invitation.

Patients eligible for immunisations under national "catch-up" campaigns will be contacted directly by the surgery.

For travel vaccinations, please complete an eConsult. This will be reviewed by our Practice Nurses, who will arrange an appointment if you need vaccinations.

Warfarin (INR) Clinic

Our Practice Nurses  monitor patients on warfarin and will also start some new patients on it. Our in-house kit means you can have a finger-prick blood test analysed on the spot. You will leave your appointment with a print-out of your dosage regime and an appointment to return for the next test.
