Repeat prescriptions

When you need more repeat medications, please order online or use the form on the right-hand side of your last prescription. Tick the items you need and drop the request into the prescription box at the surgery. Your prescription will be ready to collect after 48 hours.

To make life easier for you, we can arrange for your new prescription to be sent to one of the Cranleigh pharmacies or the chemist in Rudgwick - this means you can then go straight to the chemist to collect your medication, instead of having to pick up your prescription at the surgery first. If ordering online, please use the free text box to tell us which pharmacy you would like your prescription to go to.

If you are stabilised on regular medications, ask your doctor about repeat dispensing. This is a service where your doctor can give you up to a years worth of prescriptions which you take to your pharmacist. You can then collect your medications directly from your pharmacist every month without having to request any repeat scripts from your doctor. It will save you time!

Unwanted or unused medicines cost the NHS around £8 million per year. We are helping to reduce this problem by issuing most repeat medications in amounts which will last for one month rather than two or three. If you pay for your prescriptions and need 4 or more items in a 3 month period, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to get a pre-payment certificate- click for more details.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your medication review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
