David Shepherd opens our "Art in the Health Centre" project.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation to bring art into the Health Centre. The aim is to improve the environment, making it a better and more relaxing place to be in, whilst at the same time helping to promote the work of local artists, giving them a chance to display their work.
David came to open our exhibition on 15th November and it was fantastic to have so many people in to meet him and discuss their work.
Over the next couple of weeks we will have a page on our website showing the works that are currently on display, along with information about the artists.
The art project is a rolling programme and we still have a lot of wallspace that is crying out for some artwork - so if you would like to be involved please contact Dr Donovan.
Cranleigh Health Day Saturday October 11th
A big thank you to everyone who came along on our flu day! We were delighted to have the Love Crew from Eagle radio in the surgery, running a free prize draw, with prizes most kindly donated by Cranleigh Leisure Centre, Manns of Cranleigh and Cranfold Physical Therapy Centre.
Thanks to all our staff who came in too - we managed to immunise over 400 people against Flu in one morning - as you may have read in the Surrey Advertiser, there was just a little competition between the doctors and nurses to see who could jab the most people.... and the nurses won even though it was 2 nurses against 5 doctors!
Thanks also to the League of Friends of Cranleigh Village Hospital for helping to sponsor the day.

Near-patient warfarin monitoring.
We are delighted to be able to offer this new, efficient service for our patients. In our new warfarin clinic, you will now have your blood taken and analysed on the spot! You will be given a printed copy of your dosage regime and will leave with an appointment for the next test. No more 'phoning round for results!
Extended opening: Saturday mornings and Wednesday / Thursday evenings.
Following on from last year's patient survey, we have designed our extended opening times around the needs of our community.
In line with Governmental and PCT guidance, these surgeries will run with pre-booked appointments only. Emergency care in the evenings and over weekends will continue to be provided by the PCT through Thamesdoc.
Thamesdoc sees patients at Cranleigh Village Hospital every weekend and Bank Holiday from 2-6pm and at the Royal Surrey County Hospital from 9am to 10pm. Contact Thamesdoc on 0208 390 9991.
We are expecting this service will be particularly useful for people who work and/or commute during the week.
On Saturday mornings, appointments will be available with the Practice Nurse as well as the GP - a good time to book for travel vaccinations and advice!
So, book your appointment over the telephone, online or through your digital TV and let us know what you think by clicking here.
