New patient health check.

Every new patient at Cranleigh is offered a check-up with one of our health care assistants. This is a good opportunity to have a "mini-MOT" and to find out more about how we can meet your health needs both now and in the future.

During your new patient check, you will be asked about alllergies to medications, family history of medical problems, your personal history of smoking and alcohol use. Smoking and alcohol advice will be offered if you need it. You will be weighed and measured and we will check your blood pressure. We will also check a urine sample, so please do ask reception for a specimen pot when you register, so you can bring the sample to your check-up in a suitable, sterile container.

When you register as a new patient, your GP notes will be sent on from your last practice. If you have been under the care of a hospital or consultant in a different area, please do make an appointment to see your doctor, so he can refer you to a local service who can continue that care, if that is appropriate.
